The need to reflect on human mobility, is very relevant in these challenging times in all countries of the world and, of course, in the United States of America.

My experience was very exciting to see the different efforts that are being made in Denver and New Mexico, by different members of our churches that make up the MSMC.

The impact that it caused to see three young Mexicans, a young man and two young women called “dreamers” touched my heart to hear their feelings in relation to their situation in the midst of a society that increasingly causes fear in the presence of white culture, although They call themselves Christians. They, the dreamers, feel that they are “nothing, not anyone.” However, they did not talk about young people who do not have a job or study for lack of documents. Are they the emptiness of society? The Gospel of Matthew 5: 3, the “Blessed are the poor in spirit,” presents us with people like these young people who have nothing, no identity in this country and cannot be people because they have nothing in between an affluent society!

The Anabaptists / Mennonites, we have the great opportunity to be a blessing to these poor in spirit. Thank God for all the brothers and sisters who work for the poor and needy (Mt 25:35).
